Description A new beginning?
Our client is looking for an experienced general manager to run a £4.5 million new hotel / restaurant in the Suffolk area. The property is a grade ll listed Georgian mansion that has been transformed into a contemporary gastro bar with 15 stylish bedrooms and a 100 seat restaurant. The property is a beautiful example, boosting style and charisma.
Duties to include:
• The day to day running of the hotel/restaurant – leading by example and having a hands on approach is extremely important.
• Demonstrate fantastic customer service to ensure the companies brand name is upheld for its quality.
• Manage the 48 staff onsite, this will include: training, staff development, finding unused talent, general assistance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the correct person; this is a walk in position as the business is already up and running.
The business as a whole believes strongly in staff development and rewarding. This can be seen in their last staff retention survey which was at 92%.
You Should/Have:
• An extensive food and beverage background is essential. Hotel management would be a huge benefit to any candidate.
• General managerial experience required, however if you were a deputy general manager and have extensive knowledge you would be considered for the role.
• Be a solid character, passionate about what you do, striving for quality and unrelieved customer service.
• Lead by example to other staff members, you must be approachable for staff as well as customers.
